Drivers you can save a lot of money buying used CB equipment but you should test it out first. Most drivers are pretty straight up about their equipment. They sell their CB radios cheap because they either need the money or they upgrade to the latest galaxy CB radio, or they get the new Connex or whatever else strikes their fancy. For guys like me who don't really used the CB so much as a toy I only need an average radio able to be heard. If you are like me and only need an average radio going used is a good choice. Now these are much cheaper CB radios but often they already are peaked and tuned which is an additional plus to your savings. Guys have asked about homemade CB antenna. I am not familiar with homemade CB antenna for the road I know you can make them for base stations. Most guys I hear brag about Wilson CB antennas and Red Monkey CB antennas. Like I said I am not a CB Buff so you'll have to go to good CB shops for the detailed info on the best CB equipment you will need for whatever your CB goals are. Do you want to just get out or walk over everyone?
