Truck shifting... Prime inc trucking

I can barely drive a stick shift in a car. Sometimes I stall, other times it's jumpy. Will they work with me and teach me how to drive manual?

Want to go to prime inc.

DO NOT PRACTICE WITH CAR NEW

They will teach you, when i went to school to learn i had to break those car habits, THAT DONT WORK WHEN SHIFTING IN A TRUCK.

There was a guy in school NEVER drove a stick car and he picked up shifting in a truck right away.
we called him "mr natural".

but do what you feel you need to do.

The bottom line here is THEY WILL TEACH you how to shift.

Trucking School Will Teach You

They will teach you how to shift. However, if you will practice more with the car so that you don't have the problems that you currently do, you will pick it up much quicker. Same principles and logic.

Practice paying attention to the point at which the clutch engages and releases.

That is the sweet spot. You don't want to stay at that point for too long or you will be burning the clutch. You don't want to be too quick through that point when shifting or you will get the jerking.

Work on getting the timing right so that it is smooth. Also watch this video to help you get a visual of what is happening. It may help you to improve what you are doing.
