Improperly secured load damaged my trailer

I am an owner operator and pick up a paper roll shipment last week , but their paper roll did not properly securely loaded then damaged my trailer.


The shipper seems not want to be responsible for that. Should the shipper help me?

Was it improperly loaded or improperly secured? Did you pick it up sealed?

If it was damaged by them loading the trailer, they are responsible for the damage to the trailer.

If you were there when they loaded it, you are supposed to refuse to pull off until they load it the way you feel is correct or sometimes there will be a stand off and they won't move, you won't move and your bosses talk it out with each other.

If you were the damage occurred from the load not being secured, they are not responsible. You are supposed to make sure the load is secure.
