If I get my cdl & go otr, can my husband with a dui ride as a passenger only?

I am thinking about going to get my cdl. My husband has a dui a year old & a suspended license completely. Will he be able to travel with me. He would not be driving at all?

of course if the company allows passengers. or the insurance company allows it.
