Blood Pressure meds. and trucking
by: Jimmy

Just so you know, BP meds don't show up on your wee-wee test. I have high BP, but it is under control and I monitor it at home. When I get my physical every TWO years, I do not tell the Doc that I take BP meds and when he takes my pressure it is fine. Then I get a normal TWO year med card. If you cop to having high BP, you'll only get a ONE year card. It's your decision. Jimmy

Meds for high blood pressure does not automatically disqualify drivers
by: Hervy

He is right Paul, your PB meds won't disqualify you if you pass the DOT physical.

More importantly, you should be able to get that down and keep it down with a change and diet and little exercise. I was given meds to take and mine numbers were way higher than that.

I never opened the meds, just cut out all meat, soda, bread until it was down to normal and only eat read meat about 5 times a month now, all the fish I want.

Plenty of beans and fiber cereal. Fruit and nuts.

Blood pressure has never been high again.

Also using cinnamon and Garlic, and taking Vitamin D helps lower blood pressure.

Your goal should be to change your habits and use the natural remedies available to maintain optimum health. Medicine often has unwanted negative side effects. (even though sometimes we are not aware if the side effects yet. If it's man made then it is likely cause some type of side effect)
