Same question NEW
by: Anonymous

I had the same question. There are tons of regional and OTR jobs out there and it would make things a lot easier if there were some kind of standing permission to leave the state for the purpose of work.

Getting an out-of-state pass NEW
by: Anonymous

someone I know just started driving as an owner-operator because he couldn't get hired as a 2-time felon. His parole officer issues him a 14-day pass with his 1st destination on it (city and state). He goes to the first officer he sees (weigh station, truck stop, etc) and they sign the paper saying that he was present in their state.

His first week out, he didn't know how this worked so he had to fly from Atlanta, Ga to Arkansas, rent a car, and drive to the courthouse... UGH!

I would say it depends on your personal situation but this is how it works in Fulton County, Ga jurisdiction.

Hope this helps :-)
