How can't you track down a 18 wheeler that caused a bad accident. Truck didn't stop after he lost his tire and wheel.

How can you locate an 18 wheeler truck that lost his wheel and tire and caused a bad accident on I 20 going west.

I ran into an 18 wheeler with a long flatbed trailer carrying a large yellow piece of equipment. I pulled over to check my damage the truck kept going i tried to find it and could not.

Didn't see any information on that it was a Texas license plate with first 3 letters 183.what can I do to help find it?

Finding a truck that caused an accident

If you have the information from the truck, give it to the insurance company. They will surely get their lawyers to locate the truck if they feel it is legit and provable.

It depends on how many trucks the company had traveling that route in the time bracket and what equipment the truck has installed.

More than likely it has GPS or Satellite that can place the truck at the location at the approximate time.

Then when there is a public call for people on the road around that time surely someone saw it.
