If you were given a bottle of home made wine , is it legal to transport it in the cab or sleeper of your semi as long as it is not open.

No you may not transport alcohol unless it's part of the load and listed on the bill of lading. Read fmcsa 49.192 alcohol and controlled substances.

Transporting homade wine, every state has different laws but DOT is Federal Law in every State, Driver get rid of it , Take Sprite or a case of water instead because nothing is worth paying a fine, or losing your CDL over

I have no idea if you can legally transport homemade wine given to you. I doubt it. You need to contact a lawyer.

I wouldn't try it in commercial vehicle. If a lawyer says it is OK, it would need to be in a compartment that you can not get to from inside the cab.
