Failure to report an accident.

I hit a patch of black ice in my personal vehicle and struck a pole. Since there were no injuries and my insurance company did not need an accident report I did not contact the authorities immediately.

I called the sheriff's department the next day as I left my vehicle there overnight and the deputy I spoke to said I would not receive a citation; however I did receive a citation in the mail for Failure to Report an Accident.

At the time I did not have a CDL but before I knew I would be cited I tested an received my CDL. Is this citation going to effect my being able to obtain the position I needed a CDL for? I am in Texas.
