cdl and drug charges

I have a class b cdl. And was recently arrested for possession of dangerous drug. I was not on duty and was not driving personal vehicle at the time.

If convicted, how will this affect my cdl? And will it affect my cdl if not convicted?

Having the charge will turn many trucking companies off. Having the conviction will turn many trucking companies off.

This means you will find it harder to get hired especially if this has just happened. It doesn't matter that you were not driving.
