OOIDA is 155,000 strong; correct me if I am wrong. Then WHY do OOIDA members pay the price they are paying at the pumps? Big Trucking Companies get $.40 to $.43 off the price at the pumps. By the way, it’s the very same pumps where, WE pay full price. This is a CRIME! OOIDA has 155,000 members, more than any Trucking Company in this country. Even half of 155,000 is greater than any Trucking Company. Its time for change. What’s good for them should be better for a lot more. The price of fuel is going up! The rates and brokers and the Truck Stops are raping us. I must be missing something here. If OOIDA gets this done then I and many more will give 100% of our support to OOIDA. To survive we have to arrive. I would like to become a member, but every time I go to the pumps, they get YOUR money.

Memberships at OOIDA could double very quickly with just this one issue. Every Owner-Operator in this country would jump at the opportunity to get the same discount these Trucking Companies are getting. This is something that Needs to be addressed NOW. We cannot AFFORD to wait. If this letter falls on deaf ears, then OOIDA may also fall. Then the Trucking Companies, Fuel Companies, and our dear Government, who all seem to be in bed together, will WIN. This is another nail in the Owner-Operators coffin. Now is the time to stand up! Let’s push the nails out and double OOIDA Membership and show these folks. If one Owner-Operator falls, WE ALL FALL! Let's Unite ALL Owner-Operators NOW!
