Starting search for CDL scchool

by Jake Tully

Hi all -

As I mentioned in a previous thread, I'm beginning a two-pronged career - both writing and driving. As I start my foray into writing, I'm also starting my research for driving schools.

Any suggestions? I should mention I'm going to be the Nashville, TN area. What should I be looking for in a potential trucking school?

Hey first off great luck on your new adventure into trucking. I reccomend this career path to a lot of people and they really seem to benefit from it. It can be tough, but it's worth it.

As far as drving schools go, there are plenty of good ones to choose from. I would suggest looking for companies that sponsor students or that in some way support them through school and all that jazz.

Express Truck Driving Jobs is great, I graduated from there myself.

I would also check the general job boards - many of them have student positions or are ready to sponsor students. For those, check out craislist, indeed,, etc - all will yield something.

Best of luck!

Any word on this company?

Hey everyone -

Just wondering if you had any feedback on a potential company that sponsors students - Express Driving Jobs - part of U.S. Express I believe.

They work with and sponsor students and I think they have a positive rating from most drivers. Anyone want to weigh in? Thanks.
