Phoenix Arizona, need help with driving test and don't want to spend several thousand dollars to go to school.

Will be working for a one man show.

I kind of know how to drive , have drivin once and have been studying for the permit text in which I'll be taking in the next week or so when I can get out of work early.

Training in Phoenix. NEW

Some companies will reimburse the tuition directly to you.
Eagle KMC Transportation right there in Phoenix partners with one of the cdl schools.
Freymiller reimburses tuition to new cdl grads in monthly installments.
Roehl Transport, I think, has their own cdl school in Phoenix and pays you $500.00 weekly to attend.
Navajo Express is a good outfit and hires in Phoenix. Call and ask if they reimburse tuition.
Southwest Truck Driver school in Phoenix has a pretty good reputation.
