Life as a trucker is not for everyone that is qualified to become a trucker. There is a lot of things to consider and jumping into the big rig without covering as many bases as you can will likely cause you to end up disappointed with the trucking industry, especially as a truck driver.

I will be conducting classes in the Greensboro, NC area on Aril 7th at 11a.m. to help you get a good understand of what to expect as a truck driver.

You can learn about trucking before you spend money on trucking school or before you get on the road.

I have meet many drivers who didn't really learn about the trucking business until they got out on the road and found out it was not for them, in fact it was not nearly what they expected.

This is one of the reasons that the turnover rate is so high. With the website we have tried to provide all of the relevant information to help you make an informed decision about becoming a trucker.

We know however, it is still hard to absorb all of the information from written text.

The class will enable me to be more hands on in getting feedback from you and elaborating on what I may have not done a good job at explaining on the website. Plus, nothing beats live interaction.

Who Am I

I am Hervy a.k.a. The Crazy Trucker. Been driving for the better park of 13 years over the road. I have driven for MBM right here in Greensboro NC back in 2001 to 2006.

Was Company Driver of the year there in 2002

Trucking

Not long after that I bought a old work horse freightliner. Loved that old truck. It used to leak water when it rained from the ceiling between the cab and bunk. I didn't care. I was about the money.

With it I was chosen as Owner Operator of the year. Can't remember the factors involved in how they chose. Kind of took me by surprise.

Anyway, even then I was talking to drivers and getting insight on how trucking was affecting them. Many were not happy and it all came down to two common denominators....

Not knowing what to expect as a driver or not taking heed of to the realities of trucking.

Because of this it caused problems in 4 main areas.

  • Family
  • Money
  • Health
  • Happiness

The orientation to trucking will help you to avoid having issues related to these areas. My goal is to empower people thinking of driver to make an intelligent decision about becoming a trucker.

If you are not compatible for the lifestyle you will not be happy. You won't know if you are compatible unless you get truthful information and insight about what to expect.

Then we will talk about the mindset and attitude needed in order to make this a successful career. In order to do that you need to understand some details about what is expected and why and how to handle the relationships with people you will deal with in the industry.
