My life

My life

I am 25, It has only been 7 months of living a life of a truckers woman. He had proposed in February for my birthday. Although im new at this, it has become a way of life for me to accept that he is out there doing what needs to be done, to support us. Its been a long road with trials and errors but we together make the best of it.

Thank you all
by: Krystal

Thank you Ladies! for the advice and the warm welcome/ congrats to the engagement. I can tell you its not easy, the long days and nights without him, month or more without seeing him, but the hardest for me, is when he comes, and he here, its like you dont want that time to end and before you know it, its time for the goodbye's for now. What is it like for you guys, does it get any easier as time goes by for the "goodbye for now." Phones are there, lol. I can say right now with the busy schedule of working, taking care of my niece and nephew as i got custody of one, and temporary on other( which is another issue)and doing college, at times i text, and i know it hard for him to text, so when we talk its like its dead air, to much to say but cant put it in words. So texting for me with the hours i make lets him know that i think about him, love him and tell him i appreciate what he doing but he been doing crazy hours where he driving while I am sleeping, and sleeping while my day is going, any of you know how to make this work, i tried to stay up and be there as long as possible to stretch my schedule, but you ladies know when it comes to break, its sleep time for our truckers. Any advice?

Congradulations
by: sue

Congratulation's Krystal on your engagement. Being a truckers wife/Girlfriend/Fiance is a very compromising life style..Communication is the most important thing you can do...As you are in to it now for the last 7 months.. Well this is what it is..He is out there trying his hardest to support you and you appreciate and understand this. His job is a very demanding one not to say the least..And most times you will be left to take care of all the stuff at home by yourself..Family & friend functions will probably be, only you going solo, to keep up appearances...All I can say is Love your man when he walks in that door, support him as much as you can, and if you can swing this, then he will love and appreciate you back just as much..You are his only tie to family & friends while he is on the road..Keep smiling, be Happy, Get a long distance phone plan..:) And keep that line open no matter what.
