I am Kristin Henderson, the wife of SWIFT trucker Joshua Hederson and the mommy of our 6 year old boy, Jonah Henderson.

Here is our story: Joshua is Cajun and therefore so is Jonah. I am a stump-jumper. Joshua and I met at 11 in the Baton Rouge Church that we grew up in.

Several years later, my family moved to Arkansas where a lot of my family is from -hillbilly country!!

And so Joshua and I were 10 hours apart. So at 19 we got engaged over the phone, made it official the next month when he came to visit for Christmas and after he officially proposed we had our first kiss and first date.

We married 5 months later and have been married 8 years now. We are both 28, Our son is 6 and he's awesome. We are awesome too. I'm just kiddin.

Anyways we are new to trucking. I am very proud and supportive of my husband for doing what he has to do to support out family and I'm very willing to get out there and do what I have to do at home myself.

We love God, we love our life and everything we r blessed with. I definitely need the support of other trucker wives because in our 8 years of marriage, we haven't been apart for more than 24 hours. So it's tough.

So anyways YAY!! GO JOSHUA!!

You have what it takes already!! NEW

Standing by your man is what it is all about! And I see you have already put the ball in motion by admitting you will do anything for yourself, husband, and child. The second thing you have going for you is that you have God in your life. What more is needed than that. Yes it is difficult to be away from the one you love and adore, but can you remember the first times you two were separated and how awesome that felt when you were finally together again? Well you will experience that over and over again each time he comes home!

There are other types of driving jobs other than long haul. There are local drivers and drivers who take small trips across state, or even two states but will be home sooner. A lot of people discourage this long distance love, but what the heck I can only tell you that it works for me! And maybe you can find a way for it to work for you, regardless about the bad things people say about truck driving.

I keep it positive for me, not anyone else! :)

Good luck in your new venture! Sincerely :)
