by Kenneth J. Jordan
(Lithonia, Georgia)
Been in trucking since 1998 as my third career; 15 years in printing, 10 years in plastics prior to that.
Most of my trucking has been as a company driver with a few years as an O/O.
Have driven for Action Expediting/
Clarkston,GA, Burlington Motor Carriers/Danville,IN,
CDN Logistics/Northlake,IL, Heartland Express/Iowa City,
IA, Crete Carrier Corporation/Lincoln,NE, Action
Expiditing/Madison,GA. I've run 42 states, District of
Columbia, Ontario and Quebec amassing some 1,400,000
commercially driven miles.
In April,2010 I "retired" and after a couple of years realized that traditional retirement is actually boring.
However, I have absolutely no desire to be away from home and family 3 and 4 weeks at a time like I did for years.
On the other hand, trucking gets in your blood; it truly becomes a part of you.
That being said, I know this one thing: Someone out there who will actually pay me for the work I do could possibly interest me in a very special/different driver position.
I don't do reefer, flatbed, curtainside or tanker.
That's my overview. I also have very strong interpersonal skills and a deep work ethic. If you seek high quality,
