Getting back into trucking
by: The Crazy Trucker

Just do it! Depending on how long it's been you probably will have to go back to truck driving school Raymond.

But see if Central has a trucker refreshment course.

If not check your local community college to see if they have a truck driver refreshment course.

My advise is to make sure your family situation is suitable for going back into trucking.

If you now have family and especially kids make sure you have considered the impact. Not just be moved by memories of trucking before.

Advantages and disadvantages of becoming a trucker

Impact of trucking on the family

That being said, if you have a game plan minimize all expenses, especially if you're single.

Save all that you can. Invest in your ability to make additional income and grow your money.

Have an objective to be able to transition out of trucking so that you are available to be the ideal candidate for a good woman.

Most good women will want you home to be an active part of the family unit. That's just being real and not something that you will hear a lot of truckers saying because many can not easily transition out of trucking or don't want to.

So it depends on who you are and what you envision as a future for the family you want.

If that is not important to you, just disregard that part of the advice.

However, you still should invest because one day you will want to take a lot of time off and travel and enjoy life. Or perhaps even buy a truck and start a trucking company.

Bottom line is YOU don't want to be reliant on income provide only by YOU behind the wheel.

You want flexibility to be able to make good income and enjoy life.

You will talk to a few miserable drivers and that will likely be due to wanting to stop driving but can't. Or it will be due to problems at home because the wife wants home more or there is not enough money to take care of expenses they've created.

My advice is for helping you to avoid all of these complaints!
