Refresher aint so bad
by: NickV

I had to take a refresher course for CRST cause I finished truck driving school and couldnt find a job for quite some time. Most companies will either pay for the refresher or atleast pay for half of it. The one I went to was in Little Rock called C1. Took 5 days, they will knock out your drug test and dot physical at the school more than likely and all you really do is just drive around and get use to the feel of getting back behind the wheel. Who knows, may even be like me and actually be happy doing it. Gotta say after that much time not drivin a big truck you kinda lose track of distances on wide turns and down shifting and what not. Its not that bad. They had lodging onsite which isnt the Hilton but it works. Good Luck to you and all I can say is put in as many apps as you can. I know it sucks but if you want it you gotta go after it. Maybe go to a local truck stop and park near the fuel island and write down every truck you see. Take your list home and start fillin out them apps. Heck you may even try and shoot the breeze with a driver of a company your thinking of and get his opinion on the outfit. Up to you but good luck in your journey
