How can a retired trucker get back on the road

Experience from being on the road. Lots of it.

Retired straight trucker and courier guy here. Getting back into the business. Clean MVR. Stellar background. Excellent character references. Reliable, responsible, dedicated and trustworthy. Currently getting my "B" and working towards my "A" permits.

I could use a little help in knowing what may be out there. So far the recruiters seemed to be more interested in getting their cut for referring one to a company rather than actually helping get one going in the right direction.

At least that's my experience.

I have lots to offer once I get on the road. Just need that one step up. Thanks folks.

Ted

P.S. I get emails tons of the stuff but if you click on them to apply? You get directed to another recruiter website. Very very frustrating.

What exactly do you want? Back to straight truck or Class-8 big trucks. Do you want to run the roads or what?

I know it can be frustrating. Go to this page on this site. You will see where people make suggestion to other poster based on what they posted where they might try to get hired.
