Freezer Meals - BBQ Beef Pita Pocket

Ingredients:
1-lb Ground Beef
1 12 oz Kraft Brown Sugar BBQ Sauce
2 Whole Wheat Pita Pockets Cut in half
1/2 tbs Onion Powder

Other things needed:
Plastic reusable divided tray

Cooking time: 1/2 hour at home and 30 seconds in the microwave on the road.

Prep Instructions : Brown 1-lb Ground beef and drain. Add Onion powder and BBQ Sauce and heat till warm. Put in small side of divided tray. Lay 1 pocket cut in half on other side of tray and freeze. If you get GLAD 3 section reusable meal tray you can load the third tray with vegetables!

Truck Instructions : At breakfast remove bread to thaw. And lunch or dinner heat in microwave for 30 seconds and spoon into pocket.




Servings = 4 pockets


Cost:
Beef = 3.00
BBQ Sauce = 1.00
Pita Bread = 2.49
Onion powder from Dollar store = 1.00
Total: 7.49



Cost per meal = 1.87

PS this does make a 5th pocket but out oldest child at it when I was making it. LOL So there is one for the cook, too!
