Some companies will hire you with only a permit. They're food service companies and pay really well.

Sygma Network
You'll run teams with a cdl driver and they give you 90 days to get your cdl.
Apply for "Driver Associate" or "Driver Helper" for those jobs.
They run ads all the time for cdl permit holders.
