Failed radom drug test

I failed a random drug test 2 years ago! Still having a real bad time finding a job! Completed SAP program! I have a perfect CSA score Clean Lic. No accidents ever! 6 Years OTR 48 ! But can't find a job with anyone because of the drug test!

Should I just hang up the trucking thing and look for other work?

It's truly sad if you had a false fail for cocaine. There are a lot of drivers who are in your position. To be honest there's nothing you can do but try and fight it. They take two samples from you during testing. I believe you have 48hours to have them retest the second sample. But with this being an older post you're already past that. So next is to take the SAP program and get back into driving. It will be difficult because bigger trucking companies won't touch you. But maybe the smaller companies or local companies will. You can even try temp companies. Either way do not get caught driving without going thru the SAP program. It'll cost you more than the SAP class itself. I just finished my SAP program. Found work with an o/o. I got lucky because the company I was terminated from never reported it to DAC. But I was still honest with my new employer and he hired me anyway. You can do it. It's gonna cost you but you can getter done. God bless.

I just got terminated from Werner for having a failed drug test for cocaine even though I have never in my life used drugs, what can I do?

it's been 10 years since i tested positive.do i still need to go through sap program? and how long till employers over look that? drove 12 yers accident and safely before this

Definitely is a uphill battle. After 5 years you will have a better chance. That seems to be a popular time frame that must past after serious violations.

If I were you I would be moving on to something else and continue to try trucking companies in the meanwhile.
