CDL eye test/exam question

I am considering a career in truck driving, but i have a scar in the retina in my left eye. Will the eye test for CDL test for each eye or is it done with both eyes...in other words, i can pass an eye test looking with both eyes at the same time but cannot see with only my left eye (blurry when trying to read with left)
