Best Sector in OTR

Are you safe, well versed in safety, securement and DOT regulations, than try to haul Oversized freight. It's simple get the load secured properly, arrange your permits, anticipate what every other driver on the road might do and prepare to avoid them, Have your documents and load frequently scrutinized at every port/scale, and be ready to sit and wait allot to load and unload or wait for the weather to pass. So if you have a great deal of patience, an obsessive nature for perfection in your tasks and run you equipment exactly by the book.. well you'll never go back to any other freight until the physical demands get a bit difficult....

Drifter drifts around the USA
by: Jimmy

Hey Drifter, never hauled OD, but did do flatbed and I enjoyed it. It's a whole different ballgame than van freight. I wouldn't have wanted to do OD because doing day cab OTR isn't my cup of tea, plus I like my solitude, which you don't really have with escorts close by. Parking and Police agencys eyeballing you constantly would bother me also. But it does pay good. Jimmy
