Knight will NOT hire felons. Tried. Explained. Felony was over 20 years ago and they said no. There is a list of "felony friendly" employers floating around. That list is very misleading. The reason those companies will hire a convicted felon is that they get a tax credit for hiring someone right out of prison. If you have been out of prison for more than a year, the company will not get the tax credit, therefore, they won't hire you. It is no wonder the recividism is so high. People want to do better and lead an honest life but when all the doors are slammed in their face they feel they have no choice but to do what they have to do to survive and usually that means committing crimes. People are too judgemental and ignorant.

I was ticketed in 2012 for open container. Does anyone know if this will bar me from a trucking job?
Thanks...

CRST DOES NOT HIRE SEX OFFENDERS NEW
by: Anonymous

Was told I was accepted they paid my bus fare to Dallas only to pull me out the first day and send me home on my dime. Another $75. dollars out of my pocket and another door slammed in my face. CRST recruiter new my case and it's been 11 years. Truck driving schools should research or ask more questions as to the details of the case before saying no they may see our side. All I can say is your loss CRST lost a GREAT driver.
