I drank wayyyy too many energy drinks as a trucker. I started out only drinking them when needing extra energy.
Then I started drinking them in a preventive manner. Just in case I might get sleepy on late runs.
Then I started drinking them in the morning 3 or more times a week.
You get the idea, I was drinking energy drinks most days of the week. Each one of those energy drinks has 30 grams of sugar or more per serving 2 serving per can.
That's almost twice the recommended consumption and of course other foods either has sugar or converts to sugar.
If you don't watch out, you can become addicted to energy drinks, coffee, soda and not even realize it. It's mostly the sugar but it could also be the idea of what the drink means to you. But not going down that rabbit hole right now.
The point is to be mindful and aware of your habits and adjust them based on your long term goals for health, wealth and happiness!
