U can get a cdl class a at age 18 thru 21 but u cannot drive out pass the state line. Also of with federal laws changing you must go through a truck driving school. Depends on where you live is to where nearest trucking school is at. I highly recommend going to one that is at a community college since can get grants to help pay for it and Not have to look for a loan or pay out of pocket at over $4,000 or more. The best truck driving school that has a lot of success is the north Carolina truck driving school at Johnston Communtiy College.
