How do you fold the tarps in freezing winter weather

My boyfriend has been truck driving for over a year now. He takes good care of the truck and equipment, but with all this bad winter weather and negative temps, he is having a hard time caring for the Tarps...

Mainly wondering How do you take care of them in the snow/ice when it comes time to fold and roll ice covered or snow covered tarps...

Do you have any helpful tips/tricks?
