Working At Swift as an Owner Operator

Well I was lease to them for a couple of years as an owner operator. The pay wasn't the highest but it wasn't way more than a lot of people i talked to who made more per mile.

We did not (I did not) sit for loads, u were usually preplanned out before delivering the load you were under. Of course this means they are able to depend on you being where you are supposed to be on time so that your preplan will work out and not make them look foolish with dumb excuses to the broker or customer.

I ended up with more pay at the of the year than most drivers made. I have hears some negative stores. But remember a lot of that has to do with the drivers attitude and the way he or she gets along with the dispatch.
