I didn't know where to post this story on here, but this story does shed some positive light on truckers. Because of two truck drivers who were alert & professional, a tragedy ended in no deaths.
2 miles from my home in Hazel Park, MI. There was a horrible accident. A tanker truck exploded on the freeway causing the overpass above it to collapse. At first, everyone thought the same thing, the trucker was going too fast around the curve and rolled over. BUT.. come to find out.. a four wheeler took the curve too fast and spiraled out of control. The car crashed into the tanker (causing the cab to seperate from the trailer). Another semi truck driver was behind the tanker and was able to manuever quick enough to get out of the way. The tanker was carrying 9-13,000 gallons of fuel, it is a miracle there were only three injuries and no deaths. I leave the credit in the truckers hands. If it were not for them and there skills, this could have been a tragedy resulting in numerous deaths.

Check it out yourself.
My fiance is a truck driver. I see it first hand how four wheelers can treat semi-trucks. This is a perfect example of a foolish four wheeler and smart, quick thinking truckers. They are the heros in my eyes. I think this sheds some god light on truckers and should be discussed about in trucker news, or anywhere.
