Ready to Hit the Road

by Tommi
(Arizona)

I recently graduated Southwest Truck Driver Training,August !9, 2010. I've already taken my hazmat test and will have all endorsements just as soon as my security clearance comes back.

I have been looking into truck driving for a while, took a career skills course at my local campus and all research and tests came up as truck driving fitting my interests and personality. Usually in the top five.

I would also like to relocate or take home time in the western Oklahoma area.( Altus,Lawton, Wichita Falls,TX,Vernon,TX)

One very interesting thing I learned in the first two weeks of class time was that the other 14 students didn't seem to know much about trucking, especially OTR.

All they kept asking visiting recruiters was, can I be home every week, when will I be home, can I be home for church every Sunday, LOL.

I've got safe driving habits, am a very hard worker, pay attention to detail and truly want to hit the road!

Did well in class and know I would be a great asset for any company. I'm female but do not have a problem going with a male trainer. No whining about going home!

Thank you
