Put your spouse in the truck with you for 30 days...good advice for truckers

Help your spouse understand life on the road

Help your spouse understand life on the road

Put your spouse on the truck and let them find out what its like maybe even before you get married.

Me and brenda, my wife of 43 years, have raised 4 kids and we have 13 grandkids

You will learn a lot about each other in the truck.

We have spent as high as 30 days in the truck. We would sometimes take the kids on trips and sometimes we would pay my sister to stay with them.

I have 4 brothers and 5 sisters some of them have never been in a truck but have been married 3 or 4 times

It has been my experience when times get tough and money scarce it puts a strain on your relationship in any proffesion.
You need to have faith in God to bring you through.

Also have two brothers that trucked and they are both divorced.I think it depends a lot on the people you are with.

Like any other family the kids either follow in your footsteps or they go some other way.

We have 3 boys and a girl 2 boys are in transportation and one works at a factory and hates trucking.

Overal, trucking has been good to us praise the lord.

Great idea. Here is another for people who are still deciding
by: Hervy

Before deciding to become a trucker, let the spouse handle all responsibilities he/she will need to handle if you were not there.

Its hard to think of everthing to prepare for. Doing this helps to cover everything and gives more comfort to the spouse left behind at the house.
