I love reading happy posts.. I was in the truck with my trucker for 3 months. It was the best three months of our relationship!
I didn't drive, my job was just to make him food or get him drinks and entertain him. We both loved it but now I am home and it gets lonely but he is only a phone call away.
There is rarely a time when I call that he doesn't answer. I'm his wake up call in the morning when he has to get up and get going early. He calls me randomly through the day to see what I'm up to.
I don't love this life but I love him and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

a truckers wife life by: Hervy
TRKWitch that was a great post. Your right it's hard to say really who gets the short end of the stick in the average truckers home.
Each has it's own struggles, and challenges. That spouse at home who never really was engaged in the operations of running the home though is almost winning me over as the most difficult part of the trucking life. (well i guess that depends on how well behaved the kids are that could beat out, lol)
One thing you said though, I have never mentioned, and I know about it but it had never crossed my mind when giving advice and now I will thanks so much.
Ehow.com and other sites, even youtube for when the spouse if face with having to do things that she has no clue how to do or if she should do for that matter. LOL
So thanks for mentioning that especially.
I love my visitors!
