my employer forcing me to drive illegally

My employer forces me to drive with air leaks broken trailer door hinges and cracked up and chipped windshield.

I'm in Texas. What can I do if I get tickets or warnings. This will go on my record. Can they fire me if I refuse to drive with these problems.
