trucking on the day shift

Yes plenty of those jobs exist. As a new driver you will likely not get one. But as an experienced driver you could possibly not want one.

In less of course you need to be home.

Most of the times these jobs last all day but not only all day. We are talking 5 or 6 am until 5 till night fall sometimes.

Route drivers that haul beer or soda to the stores is one example of this.

Now if you are in an area with distribution centers or other large companies that may need local drivers or shuttle drivers you may find a real shift job driving there.

Two problems you will run into,

1. Those jobs are hard to find because a lot of people want them.

2. Most of the hiring managers will want you to have experience.

So what you need to do is scout your area, network and ask questions. Maybe you will find one and maybe you won't.

I just don't want that to be the only thing your willing to do and think with a CDL that type of situation is included in the conversation about how much in demand truckers are.

So good luck in your search, I hope you find what you are looking for. Those day shift jobs are out there.
