interested party with felony

i am a 29 year old male. i have a class e forgery charge that is 4 yrs old. i am wanting to get into the trucking business. i have talked to some training schools and all of them keep telling me the same thing.

They can train me but no one will hire me until my felony is at least 5-10 yrs. old. is this true? input is welcome. treese1@hotmail.com

hey bud, put it this way. when they see felony. they dont see murder or dui. all they see is felony. and they dont care what its for its still a felony. ive got 23 yrs exp. with a felony in 08 cant get a job. but still looking. some ones bound to hire sooner or later. i would still get my cdl and look... at least you would have your cdl.
