A career Ohio is hiring for across the state is in need more of workers than ever. Ohio trucking will only get stronger as long as the economy creeps back to health.

Ohio is sitting nicely already though, ranked as 10th for small business friendly tax code in 2009. Forbes ranked it 8th for best regulatory environment in the same year. It was ranked well in other categories also in that year. In 2010 Ohio was ranked 2nd by Site Select Magazine for best overall business climate. But how does this pan out with trucking you ask?




Manufacturing along with the financial sector is the largest contributor to Ohio's economy. Ohio is a leader in the green movement with heavy investments in .

It produces more fabricated metals, appliances, electrical equipment, plastics and rubber than any other state.(Akron, Ohio is the rubber capital of the world!) Ohio's manufacturing is 3rd largest of all the states in the gross domestic product. One in 7 people are employed in Agriculture.

It also produces significant amounts of raw steel and motor vehicles.
